Transform A Girl (TAG) builds confidence, leadership, and life skills in young girls of color so they can embrace their worth, overcome challenges, and become changemakers in their communities.
Today, girls of color face immense peer pressure, negative stereotypes, and harmful media portrayals. TAG is here to rewrite the story. Through self-esteem building, leadership training, and essential life skills, we create a safe, uplifting space where young girls feel seen, valued, and empowered to succeed.
Our 8-week virtual program combines 7 life-changing lessons with a celebratory graduation.
📅 Classes are held online every Saturday:
Morning Session: 10 AM – 12 PM
Afternoon Session: 1 PM – 3 PM
🎓 Upon completion, girls receive a Certificate of Completion and become part of the Transform A Girl Alumni Sisterhood.
Our virtual program runs every Saturday for 8 weeks. Each 2-hour session blends engaging lessons with discussions, so girls not only learn—but also practice and reflect.
Angela Mahoney, affectionately known as Coach Angie, is an author, educator, and advocate for women and girls of color. With over 20 years of mentoring experience, she founded Transform A Girl in 2015 to provide a safe space where girls could embrace their authentic selves.
Her passion began in 2002 after visiting a youth detention home for at-risk girls, where she witnessed the transformative power of guidance and mentorship. Since then, she has dedicated her life to helping young girls build self-worth, confidence, and leadership skills.
Coach Angie embodies integrity, trust, unity, healing, and transformation — and she’s here to guide the next generation of empowered young women.
My mission is to cultivate minds and transform lives.
